Lumineers, I believe, are the most significant advancement in cosmetic dentistry I have seen in the last thirty years. They provide an instantly, straight, permanently white smile in just two office visits.
Lumineers are micro thin porcelain coatings (about the thickness of a contact lens) and are applied to the teeth with virtually no drilling or grinding of your natural tooth structure. The procedure is painless and requires no shots or anesthetic.
This amazing contact-lens-thin porcelain technology provides beauty and strength, while preserving your natural tooth structure. Lumineers can correct a wide variety of dental conditions, such as:
| |
• Tooth discoloration
• Noticeable gaps
• Permanent stains
• A “crooked” smile
• Broken or misshapen teeth
• Lumineers can even bond to existing crowns and bridgework to change their shape and color.
• Lumineers are often referred to as “no prep” veneers. |

Crowns and Lumineers
We have all seen people smile that have had dental work done that is less than aesthetically pleasing. Who wants to show chalky white teeth, or grayish gums caused by metal edges around crowns when they smile? We will make sure this never happens to you. After all, you’re a walking, talking testament to the quality of our practice.

• We use only patented Cerinate Porcelain Lumineers for our “veneer” restorations.
• When more strength is needed, full coverage crowns are constructed. Here, a thin gold film is placed inside the porcelain. This helps reflect the natural tissue colors and tones and is incapable of looking dark or grey at the gum line.
• There are situations, such as those on the back teeth, when even greater strength is required. We use only precious or semiprecious copings under our porcelain with precise preparations at the gum line. This again shows no dark edge and only the beauty of your new smile shows through. |
